Review | D'Fluff Shaving Foam By Lush

Lush has been one of my all time favourite brands for a long time. I love how their products are handmade and they are also against animal testing. As a vegetarian I sometimes find it difficult finding products that I can ethically use, however, with Lush, all of their products are 100% vegetarian and they also have a range of vegan suitable products also.

D'Fluff Shaving Foam
I have just returned from holiday abroad and one of my friends had this exact product, which I thought really caught my eye. It was the D'Fluff Strawberry Shaving Cream. Now I have tried millions of different products for hair removal and my skin usually reacts badly to them (and I always come up in a horrible, itchy, painful rash!). To be fair, I didn't doubt this product for a second because I've always had wonderful outcomes with Lush Cosmetics, so I was not reluctant to pay for this.

Available in stores or online
Right, now on to the actual product itself! The particular one I picked up was the strawberry flavour, which has that stereotypical 'lush smell' mixed with a slight hint of strawberries. Compared to the artificial store brand smells, this isn't as fruity, however, theres something about this smell that feels clean to me which I really like. I you don't think this scent is for you, they do have other options which may be more appealing. It has a pale pink pastel colour to it (I personally don't think colour is that important but hey ho it looks good) The texture at first is a very soft mousse, which feels moisturising on the skin which then melts slightly when at body temperature. When rubbed into the skin it will slightly foam and sud, which makes it easier to actually shave with. This product is such high quality that it gives the closest and smoothest shave without cutting or nipping at my skin which is why I will definitely repurchase this again.

Bring back 5 pots or tubes for a free face mask
The pot that I purchased was £5.75 for 70g which I feel is a good size to start out with, incase you don't feel as strongly as I do about this shaving cream (which probably won't happen, lets face it), but if you enjoy this product, you can buy a pot which cost £9.95 for 150g. In addition, Lush do a scheme  where if you bring back 5 empty and clean pots or tubes (which has its little logo/label on) you get a free face mask. I think this is a pretty cool way to ensure they recycle even more of their packaging (which is already 100% recycled!) Let me know what you think of this product if you already have it and any suggestions for what I should try next.

Beauty | What's in my GlossyBox - March'14

So last month I tried out the GlossyBox. I realised I spend a lot of money buying products that I feel 'safe' with and I just don't bother trying out anything new. I felt like this was fine before but now that I am experimenting with styles I need to branch out. Buying a GlossyBox was the perfect way for me to do this because I get to trial the products without having to ever buy a full size product if I do not like it. Now to the good bit!

In my GlossyBox this month I got ...

1. Body Cream by Mitchell and Peach
2. Pout Polish by Sleek MakeUP
3. Shimmer Powders by Bellápierre Cosmetics LTD
4. Malibu Collection by Juicy Couture
5. Intensive Repair 60 Second Treatment Shot by Dove Hair Therapy

So the first thing on my little list is the Body Cream. I've never even heard of this brand before - let alone used it! I'm not over-keen on the scent of this. Its very floral and has a strong smell of roses however it might smell better once its left for a while. Consistency wise I really like it and it does leave the skin smooth and soft.

£36 - http://www.mitchellandpeach.com

The next thing I got I was actually going to buy myself, so getting it in a GlossyBox was even better. I love Sleek makeup and I was super please with this. I received it in the shade Chocolate Kiss 948 which isn't typically the colour I would ever go for, but I feel like I will be pleasantly surprised with this.

£4.49 - http://www.sleekmakeup.com

I'm quite interested to try this next thing out. It looks beautiful with nice pigmentation and texture. Im excited to experiment with this product as eyeshadow but you can also mix it in with nail polish, blusher and lipgloss so that will be fun to try out.

£12.99 - http://www.bellapierre.co.uk/shop/

I really love the next item - I really want to buy the full sizes. I am quite particular about scents so I was a bit worried that I wouldn't like these - however they are really lovely.

£47 - http://www.debenhams.com

My final GlossyBox product was something I am glad I got. I am always buying hair treatments for my over damaged hair (I went through a phase when I was a teen of dying my hair every few weeks). I really regret not taking good care of it then but there are some great products on the market. I haven't opened this product yet because I don't want the product to dry out or go gross before I use it. I really hope this works like it says it will.

£1.49 - http://www.superdrug.com

Hope you enjoyed having a nosey look into my GlossyBox! If you got one let me know what you got and if you've tried any of these products! I'd love to know your opinions! Have a nice weekend!

Beauty | What's in my GlossyBox - Feb'14

Hello lovelies! I've been super busy with college lately so I haven't been able to blog as much as I would like to. Seeing as its coming up to exam time I don't have very much free time to write my blog posts, so this will be a quick one! A couple weeks ago I decided I'd treat myself to get the monthly subscription with GlossyBox which I absolutely love. This was my first box so I wasn't sure what to expect but I thoroughly enjoyed it. I thought I'd do a little first impressions and Whats in my GlossyBox blogpost for you today :)

First of all, I love the packaging that it comes in - I wish everything I bought was shipped in a cute box like that! Inside that, the actually GlossyBox itself is packaged beautifully and I have never gotten anything like it before. Its really girly and pretty and adorable.

Covered my address for security reasons

In the box you also get the Glossy magazine which has reviews, interviews and product information in for a nice read! I like to browse through this when I'm having my pamper evenings! You also receive a personalised card which has your carefully chosen products on with prices and information included.

Okay so I have my product list card with me and I'm going to tell you what I got!

1. Sparkling Body Shimmer by Nougat London
2. Chunky Lip Crayon by NV
3. Master Kajal Liner by Maybelline New York
4. Je t'adore Aromatics Shampoo and Sensual Hydrating Hair Conditioner by H2K Skincare
5. Backcombing Brush by Sleep In Rollers
6. Lindor Treat Bar by Lindt

Overview

I've never actually used a body shimmer before so I have nothing to compare it too, however this smells AMAZING. It has a perfume smell which I really recognise - So I'm about to rummage through my perfume collection to see which scent it smells like ....

After individually smelling all of them, I still can't pinpoint what it is, but take my word its gorgeous.

I was a bit scared about the shimmer aspect of this. but the shimmers are so tiny and compliment the skin perfectly. It looks really beautiful and I'm glad I got it

£14 - http://www.nougatlondon.co.uk

The lip crayon that I got next I am really in love with. The colour is stunning and you can wear one layer for subtle colour or put two or three on for a strong bold look. Its really moisturising and creamy and I will definitely be buying more of these.

£5 - http://www.nvcolour.com

The eyeliner that I got is interesting. I haven't used an eyeliner like that before but I also really like this product. It has a consistency that I like and I always love my eyeliners to be in black. I will be using this daily.

£5.99 - http://www.boots.com
I haven't tried out this shampoo or conditioner yet so I can't give my impressions on these just yet. The shampoo scent reminds me of mens deodorant which wouldn't be my first choice of hair scent, however the conditioner has a fruity smell to it. I like to have fresh smelling hair so I'm interested to see how these turn out. Another thing i've noticed is that they have a thinner consistency compared to my current shampoo and conditioner which you can read about here

£2.48 - http://www.h2kskincare.com
This hair teaser is a brilliant brush. It does its job and it has soft bristles which doesn't leave your hair looking damaged. Overall a good brush.

£4.50 - http://shop.sleepinrollers.com

Finally, they sent me a cheeky chocolate treat. Tastes amazing and you can buy them from pretty much every supermarket! Yum!

£0.79

Thankyou for reading! Let me know what you got in your GlossyBox and what you think of these products! Have a nice weekend :)

Haul | Primark, New Look and Superdrug

So I treated myself to a spot of cheeky shopping while catching up with one of my old school friends.  I went into quite a few shops but only actually bought from Primark, New Look and Superdrug. I will provide prices for all products underneath the images and links to where you can buy online when applicable. All items were bought with my own money.

The first place I bought from was New Look. I had been looking for a leather jacket for so long and I really wasn't sure what style I wanted to go for. In the end I opted for one with a ruffled front and silver hardware. It was a comfortable fit and looked extremely classy. It would look lovely paired with anything but I will be mostly be wearing with my dresses.

New Look - £39.99

The next thing I treated myself to was a new purse. Im actually quite bad for buying new purses but I wanted something that looked fresh and classy. I find that purse get dirty really easily and just look worn so I picked up this one. I've been wanting one styled like this for quite a while so I decided to finally buy it. I already really like it. It had plenty of space to store my (many) loyalty cards and a separated compartment for cash.

New Look - £12.99
Next I went to superdrug. I tried to refrain from buying all of the beauty products that I really wanted because I want to be able to fully try out what I haven't gotten round to using yet. I wanted to try out some new face masks. I haven't ever really used them before so I didn't go all out price wise. So to see how I got on with them I got two of superdrugs range on face masks. These were £2.59 each or 2 for £3.50.

Superdrug - 2 for £3.50 (£2.59 each)

After that I picked up a new eyeliner sharpener. I got the Barry M one because I liked how it had a plastic case for if I was travelling and had no bin around. I hate finding pencil sharpening all over my make up bag. I just reminds me of being at school again! Simple product, does the job.

Superdrug - £1.99

The next item is a bit cheeky because I have SO many body moisturisers already but I wanted to see how this would work. I got the vaseline spray and go moisturiser because I am really bad at taking the time out to put lotion on and then waiting for it to dry before I can get dressed. I'm trying to trek through all my mini versions that have been given to me in those christmas sets. I made a promise to myself that once I used them up I'm allowed to try the vaseline one. The reason that I bought it in this shopping trip was because Superdrug were doing a deal where it was £1 off so I pinched myself one. I chose the cocoa butter scent/flavour(?) because I feel like it is relaxing and smells good on the body.

Superdrug £3.99 (original price £4.99)
I then got some chewing gum and a bottle of vitamin water but you don't need the whole shebang about that ;)

Next we go on to the primark stuff! I tried to just buy essentials rather than spending all of my money on things I didn't need. On the whole I reckon I did quite well. I'll get the boring stuff out the way first.

Every girl needs nice undies, I got some for £1. Nothing really special here.

Primark - £1

I then just got a pack of three black tights. Standard to buy in every Primark shopping trip I think.

Primark - £3.00

Next on my list is a product I use multiple times per week. Its basically just a towel for your head after you wash your hair but it has a little elastic clippy bit which makes it so much easier. My current one is in purple and I have had for AGGGEEESSSSS so I needed an upgrade. They had loads of different patterns this time so I chose the giraffe print style. This was meant to be £1.50 but when I was looking at my receipt it came to £1. I know I'll probably be buying these forever so Primark, please don't stop selling them.

Primark - £1
I wanted to buy something to jazz up my leather jacket with, something cute. I saw this scarf and really liked it! It's black and white so it will go with pretty much anything. Also, its one of the snoods which means theres no lose ends flying about and it just fits snug around your neck.

Primark - £4

When I was browsing the shoe section I came across a load of beautiful boots that were on sale from the winter months. I fell in love with them and thought that they would look lovely with dresses and skirts while the weather isn't too hot. There were some that I preferred but only had them in teeny tiny sizes, so I settled for these beauties!

Primark - £10

Annnnnnnddddd finally from the world of primarni I got a set for 4 stackable rings. I am awful for remembering to wear rings so I've decided that I'm going to wear them more often. I prefer the thinner rings which you can bunch together compared to the large chunk of metal rings that stop your fingers from fully functioning. These were super cheap and really cute.

Primark - £1

Thanks for listening to me ramble about what I got myself! Hope you enjoyed it. Speak soon bloggers.
